I have looked it up and it’s because long ago a monk touched a women inappropriately, so the monks were no longer allowed to touch women and to help monks practice their celibacy women do not touch them either 👍

Not just when giving blessings. They're not ever allowed to touch females ever. Unless it's REALLY necessary, then an exception would be granted
