I wish I could crate my dog. He broke out of 2 kennels and HATES it. He doesn’t get into things. Loves to sleep in it though open 😅.

my dogs never been crate trained but has never had a problem at the vet, groomer, etc 🤷🏻♀️he’s just a good lazy boi that sleeps all the time

Crate training is for THEIR safety, too. Even if they don’t eat and destroy things, they could possibly get into something toxic, electrical, etc

I think a point too is training in clients home versus boarding and training in the trainers home. I do not take B&Ts if they aren’t crate trained 🎂

My older dog used to hurt herself to get out of her crate and then cause mayhem when she got out. Let her stay out, no issues. She’s a weird one

There 100% needs to be a governing board and standards for dog trainers. So many are corrupt and abusive.

I crate trained my dog, but she doesn’t need it. I have cameras all over my place- and she just sleeps in different spots!

My springer HAS to be crated when left alone. I feel awfully about it, but she will eat ANYTHING.

I think every dog should be crate trained bc even if they dont use it at home, that dog is likely to be crated at some point i.e. at the vet

As a dog sitter i also require your dog be crate trained. Safety and relief for both my house and the dog.

Our dogs free roam, they never ever do anything either. They know how to get in and stay in crates for ERs but we put them up after we trained them.
