@thefrenchiegardener: 3 tips to grow healthy Tomato Plants, from planting out your seedling, to pruning your plant, to making a natural fertiliser reusing cut tomato leaves 🍅💚 Tomatoes are a wonder to grow but they also require lots of care of attention. In addition to the video, you have below some more tips / explanations 🙌🏼 🍅 Cutting lower seedling leaves : This will encourage the plant for its upper growth 🍅 Removing the first flower of a seedling : This will refocus the energy of the plant to grow its leafy green part. What you want to have is a stronger well developed plant which may produce more tomatoes. 🍅 Removing lower leaves of taller plants : This will avoid the leaves getting wet when you water your plants. Tomatoes hate rain & having wet leaves may lead to a fungal disease called mildew. Protect your tomatoes from rain and always water at the stem. 🍅 Removing suckers : These are stems growing at 45 degrees between the main stem and a branch. I usually remove them up to 50 cm / 20 inches and I leave all the upper one growing, they will also grow tomatoes. 🍅 Tomato manure fertiliser : The cut leaves (if healthy) can be fully reused to make this easy fertiliser. Mixed with water, you can water your plants with it. You can also spray it on other plants, as a natural repellent for pests such the carrot fly but also as a natural insecticide for aphids. If you want more in-depth info, check-out my ebook on tomatoes, many more tips in there! 🙌🏼 Green Love to you 💚 #gardening #tomatoes #growyourownfood #plantscare #fyfyfyfy #plantbased #tipsandtricks

Every hair on the stem can be a new root so remove leaves and bury deeper for a stronger plant
