Congratulations to everyone including myself coming to the sacred grove with testimonies and answered prayers. May our gratitude be accepted, and may our joy remain permanent. May we all have even greater reasons to return with thanksgiving in the years ahead. To those whose prayers are yet to manifest, please do not lose hope. The fact that your answer has not arrived today does not mean it will never come. Ifá teaches us that every destiny unfolds according to its own divine timing. Continue to pray, continue to do good, continue to make the necessary sacrifices, and continue to trust your Orí. Your season of celebration will surely come. As we prepare for the festival, remember to come with Obì and whatever offerings your heart and spiritual guidance have led you to present. Come with gratitude, humility, and a sincere heart. I would also like to remind everyone to remain vigilant throughout the celebration. Large gatherings unfortunately attract individuals whose intentions are not honorable. Please keep a close watch over your personal belongings, look out for one another, and exercise wisdom while enjoying the festivities. Another important reminder is regarding the Òṣun River. Due to the environmental impact of illegal mining activities in surrounding communities, the water is currently not considered safe for drinking.Thou its spiritual significance and sacredness remain intact, I encourage everyone to avoid drinking the water. If it aligns with your practice, you may respectfully use it to wash your head, hands, or feet, but please prioritize your health and safety. As you enter the sacred grove, remember why you came. It is easy to become captivated by the beauty of the Èlégún, the colorful processions, the music, and the many cultural displays. They are all part of the richness of the festival, but do not allow them to distract you from your personal purpose. Whether you have come to pray, to give thanks, to seek guidance, or to honor Òṣun, remain focused. Let your heart stay connected to your prayers and your Orí. May this year’s festival strengthen our faith, renew our hope, deepen our gratitude, and remind us of the beauty of our heritage. May Òṣun bless every sincere heart.
