Please make dua for me. A few days before I met someone, I made dua to Allah asking Him to bless me with a good person who shares my ethnicity, values and deen. Shortly after, I met someone who felt so different from anyone I’ve ever known. He was respectful, caring, patient, listened to me and made me feel genuinely understood. We connected very quickly, but then a complicated situation involving family and his personal principles came between us. He told me he needs some time to think about whether he should continue getting to know me, and that he would contact me if he decides to. I have never felt this attached to someone so quickly, and I’m struggling to let go because I truly feel like this meeting may have happened for a reason. Please make dua that if he is khayr for my dunya and akhirah, Allah brings us back together in a halal way, removes the obstacles between us and puts barakah in it. And if he is not good for me, please ask Allah to give me peace, remove this attachment from my heart and replace it with something better. Most importantly, please make dua that Allah brings me closer to Him through this, whatever the outcome may be. Ameen.
