yeah next time u hook a tarpon and its jumps point ur rod down towards it so the tarpon cant shake the hook out

When catch tarpon you don’t fight it like a peacock or a bass I had trouble when I first started. Set the hook hard and expect it to jump

I’ve lost every tarpon after the jump. Circles and live bait lost on that also. Got a good tarpon spot in the Everglades packed full of tarpon
