That’s a drive shaft key between a gear and the drive shaft. Look for a square hole the same size.

That looks like a key check the gears where the bar goes through the gears to see if its missing the key.

It’s part of the flux capacitor. See if it’s still fluxing and if not, put the key back in.

woodruff key. pull on the gears, it goes on the one with least resistance.

Those are sprockets not gears. Just take the chain off and check what's loose. Find the master link it will have pins you can remove.

All the gears look like they have their hold down plates in place, so not from a gear. Is it from that shaft at the top, maybe for a handle?
