Shoe Review: @HOKA Cielo Road Sneaker One of the perks of being a Global Athlete Ambassador with HOKA is having the benefit to experiment with different #gifted shoes that are outside of my normal picks. Last month, I requested these bad boys because I wanted to learn about the hype. My typical go-to HOKA sneakers are Clifton, Arahi, Bondi, and Mach for the road. In comparison, these are the most fun shoes I ever tested because the bounce is real. They're exceptionally springy and lighter than I expected. The color wave is gorgeous, and it brought the kid out of me. Pros: These shoes are great for a person who doesn't do a lot of run/walk intervals with longer running breaks or strictly run-through miles. I have lower lumbar issues, so feeling that relief off my spine was spectacular. The Cielo pushed me to run more than walk, and I felt an extra spring in my step. The toe box is roomy, and this will work great for me on race days where I'm seeking to push myself to run more than walk and/or I take minimal walk breaks. Mehs: This may not be fitting for a runner who is starting out and not comfortable strictly running or if you take longer walk breaks. These shoes are NOT for walking or cross training, and that's not a con, just a huge note to remember. I want just a tiny bit more space, but this will not be a problem for people who don't have wide feet like mine that like to spread some days. Overall: I'm holding onto these babies to use for my 10K and under races. Personally, I'm working on speed and fewer walking breaks. These sneakers will hold me accountable, as they feel better when I run in them. Have you picked up the HOKA Cielo yet? Are you a HOKA Stan? What's your favorite shoe from their line? Drop them below - this includes recovery shoes, too. #runningfatchef #fatrunner #slowrunner #plussizeathlete #hoka #hokaambassador #runwalkrun
