@skulloljorv: YOU EVOLVE AS A BUDDHIST - "There is no such thing as a conversion in Buddhism. You don't convert a person into Buddhism. You just follow the Lord Buddha's teaching and practice the Dharma, then you are a Buddhist. At the same time, whatever you are, it somehow is blessed. So that every aspect of your life is blessed by the Lord Buddha's teaching. And it is not a conversion. For me, it is actually evolutionary process. You evolve as a Buddhist. You don't convert as a Buddhist. But you evolve as a Buddhist." ~ Chamgon Kenting Tai Situ Rinpoche From: "Buddhism and Vajrayana". Taught by the 12th Kenting Tai Situpa at Palpung Sherabling, March 2006

Save and share this guide👇 It’s day 9 of my challenge to hike 31 different trails and at least 100 miles this January. Be sure to follow @outdoorwiseliving for more awesome spots to discover and sign up for my free monthly trail recos (link in bio) Trail recap so far: Day 1: ‘Great Wall of China’ Day 2: ‘Planet of the Apes’ Day 3: Tide pools Day 4: Secret Cave Day 5: Magic Mailbox Day 6: Elusive Waterfalls Day 7: Garden of Eden Day 8: The Hell Hole How to explore here. 🥾: Little Yosemite, Sunol CA 📏: 4.5 miles, but as short as 2.5 miles out and back. 🅿️: During the weekdays, it’s usually free, otherwise is $5 per car on the weekend. 🐶: $2 fee collected when they charge for parking. 👦 friendly: Very kid friendly!!! 🚽: Yes at parking lot ♿️: No. 🌞: Mostly Exposed 💡: 1. I prefer to walk the first bit of the hike along the river. Exit the river area and then reenter at 0.7 miles. You can walk along the river for another 1/2 mile 2. If you feel comfortable going down the steep slope at the river gorge, it’s worth it! Great place for a picnic 3. If you enjoy rock scrambling, head all the way back. The entry, which requires scrambling of 5-8 foot sections, is mostly on the right 4. If you get to the back of Little Yosemite, head out via the cave. There is poison oak to avoid (wear long sleeves and ideally gloves) 5. Walk upstream a bit to “dryly” cross Alameda creek 6. Go 0.5 miles further on Ohlone Rd to find the unique “W” tree. 7. Check out the additional waterfalls by heading up the creek on your left 🗑️: Pack out what your bring 2025 stats: - Total Jan hikes: 9 - Total mileage: 36.2 #bayareatrails #bayareaguide #bayareahikes #bayareahiking #bayareahikers #eastbayparks #sunolregionalwilderness #sunolca #pleasantonca #fremontca #sfbayarea #bayareadogs #bayareabuzz #bayareablogger #littleyosemite #bayarea
