Years ago I ordered a bag of rocks from some mine and picked out the sapphires and garnets myself, had them cut and put them in jewelry.this is fun!

If you head past Philipsburg, Sapphire Gem Mountain is also a great place to find sapphire, amethyst, and lots of other precious gems and stones😁

You throw them into the buckets, then onto shaking racks, then tumbling down a cleaning area but then carefully remove with forceps
