If that’s true. You can get out if it by a Constructive Eviction. You, the tenant can sue the landlord if it’s inhabitable dwelling.

I’m almost positive you can withhold rent, ALSO check what the rent was b4 u moved in and see if they can PAY YOU rent owed.
