I rely less and less on FSMs these days. In a situation like this, I'd swap component connections side to side and test, see if the DTC follows.

Honda is a joke when it comes to diag... parents crv had a LR wss code... honda said yea needs a sensor and bearing.... it was just a sensor 😑

All Data sometimes tells you in the diag tree to replace a module and try to clear the light. If it returns, continue diag.
