@cindyluchan: Have you tried Yukhoe? Lean strips of raw beef are tossed in a flavourful sweet and spicy sauce with flavours of garlic and sesame oil. It’s served ice cold with a raw egg yolk and crunchy matchsticks of Asian pear that you mix all together before eating. This was my first time trying it at Jin Dal Lae in Koreatown and it was so good! The beef is a bit chewier than French tartare because of how it’s cut, but I love the flavours so much that I don’t mind at all.
