Agreed. With my old cape cod style home tho I have a lot of heat loss in the winter. Meaning massive icicles. Lots of maintenance in winter

previous owners of our house only applied gutters to the small corner of the roof where the uncovered porch is so they didn't have a waterfall door.😂

I am going to disagree with you. With adequate elevation of the foundation and at 1/4 Slope away this would not be an issue.
