@sheldricktrust: Meet Raha! We’ve been waiting for the right moment to introduce you to this precious orphaned black rhino, whose name means joy in Swahili. She came to us in September 2022, after Ol Pejeta Conservancy scouts discovered her all alone. She had extensive injuries to her nether regions; these are believed to be the result of jackals, who’d attacked her when she was all alone and unable to defend herself. Our priority since then has been to help her heal and to support her well-being. At last, we feel she's out of the most precarious stage of her recovery and we can't wait for you to fall in love with her, as have our Keepers & all of us! We will share about Raha’s rescue and recovery in the days to come, but for now, we thought you might enjoy witnessing her daily evening trot back to her stable! She often has a spring in her step at this time, as she knows one of her Keepers will have a warm bottle of milk ready for her to enjoy.
