This destroyed EVERYTHING - Joe Rogan and Graham Hancock on The Younger Dryas #fyp #fypシ #viral #tiktok #facts #history #historytok #joerogan #jre #grahamhancocktok #youngerdryas Joe Rogan and Graham Hancock on The Joe Rogan Experience Podcast - JRE 1897 Imagine a time when Earth was slowly coming out of its last Ice Age. Things were warming up, and life was adapting to the changing climate. But then, out of the blue, there was a sudden and dramatic return to cold conditions. This period is known as the Younger Dryas, and it lasted for about 1,200 years. But what caused this sudden cold snap? Enter the Younger Dryas Impact Theory. The Cosmic Collision: Picture a clear sky, and suddenly, streaks of fire appear as fragments of a massive comet or asteroid hurtle towards Earth. These fragments, some possibly miles wide, crash into our planet, causing massive explosions. The impact would have been so intense that it would have set vast areas on fire, sending up a thick blanket of soot and dust into the atmosphere. The Chilling Effect: Now, with all that dust and soot in the atmosphere, less sunlight could reach the Earth. Think of it as a massive, dark curtain blocking out the sun. This caused temperatures to drop dramatically, leading to a sudden return to near ice age conditions. Plants would have struggled to grow, and many water sources would have frozen over. The Megafauna Mass Extinction: During this time, Earth was home to some pretty impressive creatures, often referred to as 'megafauna'. Imagine mammoths, towering creatures with long, curved tusks, wandering in herds. Picture saber-toothed tigers with their impressive fangs, and giant ground sloths, which were as big as modern-day elephants. But as the climate changed rapidly, these giant creatures faced tough times. The cold made food scarce, and the changing environment meant that many of these animals couldn't adapt quickly enough. As a result, many of these magnificent beasts went extinct. This period saw the loss of a significant number of these megafauna species. #ancient #hitofhistory #mystery #crazy #weird #ancienthistory #science #ai #midjourney #capcut #jreclips #podcast #animals #world
