Irukandji syndrome is a condition resulting from a sting by particular species of box jellyfish/cubozoans! It is incredibly painful, potentially lethal and causes a person who has been envenomated to experience severe cramps, hypertension, a feeling of impending doom (that’s how you know it’s bad!), and it can last from 4-30 hours! Malo bella is found along the West Coast of Australia 🇦🇺
