Same thing happened to me come to find out the stylist gave me a keratin treatment that I didn’t ask for. 15 mo later and it’s back to normal.

Whoever did your silk press put relaxer, texturizer or some kind keratin treatment on your hair & didn't tell you. Some salons do that.

This just gave me hope bc my heat damage wasn’t as bad but I got my hair straightened at a salon for the first time in 7 yrs..never again🧍🏽♀️

Same thing happened to me in 2018. The stylist did 8 passes to get my hair silky but forgot that my hair is medium brown and won’t be silky 🙃

If you went to a salon that doesn’t deal with natural hair they will put a relaxer in your hair. I learned this the hard way
