I'll warn you, starting fluid is a dangerous thing if it's more than just getting it started once. same with using brake clean/carb clean etc

Definitely check the gas pump and see if it is in working condition or if it’s broke bc if that’s broke it’s not getting enough gas to the engine

Also test the alternator and starter, make sure all those are good. Also be careful with too much starter fluid, it WILL catch fire!

if I was you I'd get the old fuel out and put new fuel in and take the spark plugs out and spray fogging oil down the holes to prevent scoring

Also cut the black and red rubber off of the batter cables at the battery. Causes problems with connections after a while.

Tap the gas pedal alot when starting it, my truck had the same problem and mine was an 83 k10, now it works every time i crank it

once you do get her started definitely good to change filters, air filter, fuel filter as these are also very vital to Fred running good.
