@debbiedknatt: Let’s talk about Macular Degeneration and Cataracts. Macular Degeneration involves a central loss of vision. It is the number one cause of vision loss for patients over 60 years old and unfortunately at this time there is no cure. Cataracts involves an opacity in the lens of your eye causing your vision to be impaired. Now cataracts is painless, but you will have double vision, see a halo around lights and have photosensitivity. Fortunately, you can have surgery to repair your cataracts. Jut be careful after surgery that you don’t bend over at your waist, avoid sneezing, coughing and straining. Expect your vision to be better at least 6 weeks after cataract surgery.
