@rowieroche: Tight? Hypertonic pelvic floors is when the pelvic floor muscles become tight, or overactive. They are stuck in a contraction and have lost the flexibility and strength that is needed to properly do their job. What can cause a tight pelvic floor; ❤️🔥Muscle injury from vaginal delivery. After injury your muscle can tense in response to pain. ❤️🔥Day to day stress and anxiety. If you hold stress if your body you may be pulling your pelvic floor up and holding. Next time you are feeling stressed try laying down, relax your shoulders, jaw and pelvic floor. ❤️🔥Over squeezing your bum to avoid the feeling of needing to urinate often or sucking your stomach in from not feeling comfortable in your postpartum body. ❤️ These ⬆️ symptoms all result in you over strengthening your pelvic floor and not focusing on making it flexible. I know it’s a vicious cycle but I’m here to help. My program is launching next week and I hope to help you understand your postpartum body and give it the love it deserves. #tightpelvicfloor #pelvicfloorexercises #postpartum #mumsupport #postpartumbody #postpartumfitness #mumhealth #mumlife
