It most definitely boosted there popularity, 90% of nirvanas music is terrible and Kurt was a awful musician, they would have died out after a decade

Yeah but the way people talk about nirvana wouldn’t be the same. They would be like Pearl Jam. Still great but don’t get talked about the same way.
