@lifewithleauxla: 📍Kitchen + Kocktails, Washington, D.C. So I had an idea the food and drinks were going to be good, but everything exceeded my expectations. For appetizers, we got the appetizer trio and the fried green tomatoes. My favorite part of the appetizer trio were the lamb chops and the shrimp (the flavor was out of this world. The fried green tomatoes came with these cheesey grits and they were so bomb. To drink, we got the peach D’usse frose, strawberry jalapeño margarita, true flame, and black magic. I’m not even a huge fan of peach flavored things, but that drink hit. If you love a very strong drink, you’ll enjoy the true flame. The strawberry jalapeño margarita and black magic were also delicious. For entrees, we got the honey hot chicken and the pork chops (fried) and we really enjoyed them. I loved how the honey hot chicken was not dry at all and had the perfect flavor. We chose the corn bread, greens, and mac and cheese for our sides. Everything was also good, however, I do prefer my mac and cheese to be baked, but it did have good flavor. For dessert, we got the cinammon pecan pie bread pudding, berry pecan cinnamon roll, and the fruity loop waffles. I am definitely still thinking about those waffles, so I’ll be back for them. I’m not even a huge waffle fan, but they were so good (didn’t even need syrup). Kitchen + Kocktails also seems to have put a great team together of waiters and waitresses. They were all really nice and attentive.
