@selkieswims: LoughNeagh is in crisis. Huge blooms of Blue green algae the length and breadth of it. For those of us who love it, Who swim in it, Who fish it, Who boat on it, Paddleboard, Kayak, It's absolutely devastating to see. A combination of Pollution & Sunlight causes a process called Eutrophication. These algae blooms deplete the Oxygen in the water, and kill the fish, which has a knock on effect for the wildlife that feed on them. please Share widely. The ongoing dumping of raw sewage, and Slurry "Spills" and toxic chemicals used in farming, which then runs off into the Lough has to stop. Every drop of this eventually will make its way into The Bann River, and out to Sea at Castlerock. This is literally the worst I've ever seen. #Loughneagh #pollution #destructionofnature #northernireland #bluetitschillswimmers
