Call an environmental site assessment company, there are many firms that do well cut and cap, have them contact the government to advocate to fund it

AER = Alberta Energy Regulator. I would keep calling them. I’ve worked on a lot of orphan well sites and there should not be gas

back in the day farmers drilled they're own gas wells. Self sufficieny was a thing. If its good natural gas.. looks like an oppertunity!

I did reclamation and environmental work for years and the requirements for a rec cert were much different for legacy wells like this one.
