Serving fee is a thing in all countries I have visited. Unless you are used to eat at fast food restaurants.

I might be wrong but it is the same in the UK: once you have said you want a Take Away, you can't eat it in the restaurant.

That's pretty normal isn't it? You have one price for takeout and one for eating at the Restaurant. So you are paying less for takeout.

Sometimes I do this too.. buy take away food but eat there first, bcuz maybe I'll spare half of it to be eaten at home😊. Saving money.

Same in Ireland. Take Away is one price, sitting in is another. It makes sense and shouldn’t change to suit the US
