I’ve been single for almost a year now, and all I can say is that it’s been a blessing to reflect on so many areas where I was weak at. I’ve made mistakes, fell back into old habits, but then I remember someone telling me that if I would transition the same discipline I had with working out into my faith, I would see the hand of God move in my life like never before. And man, was that person right. See, I always would have to hit a wall in order for me to learn from my mistakes. But I made a decision that I no longer wanted to live that way anymore. So I asked myself, what kind of man do I want to be? A man who just talks about integrity and discipline but compromises, or the one who stands firm in his values and faith? If I were to be a father one day, what kind of example would I want to set for my kids? I say all of this because, yes, we have to surrender to Jesus, but we also have to do our part and build a strong mind and body. We have to be consistent and disciplined in all areas of our lives. Set a goal for yourself and follow that dream that you have in your heart, as long as it doesn’t hurt anyone or destroy you in the long run. I’m truly grateful for the season that I’m currently in in my life. The suffering and all the lessons I’ve learned have been nothing but a blessing. Remember to also give yourself grace, and know that no matter your failures, you can always recover. #blessed #mirrorselfie #growth
