Changing careers is tough, but what isn’t? Since I switched to real estate four years ago, I’ve experienced the highs and lows, with some of my biggest wins and hardest lessons along the way. I’ve put in more time and effort than ever before in my career, and it’s paid off by bringing my family’s goals within reach. It’s been a journey full of growth, adapting, and tackling challenges. Here are the most important lessons I’ve learned so far: 1- Rejection is part of the job. Not every client will choose you, and not everybody you know will support you. You will have friends and family that won’t choose you to represent them. Learning to handle rejection and keep pushing forward is crucial. 2- Emotional Intelligence is a non negotiable. Buying or selling a home is a significant emotional event for clients. Being empathetic and understanding their emotional needs is just as important as handling the technical aspects of the transaction. 3- Not everyone will put in the same effort as you. Some people will just do the bare minimum, which can be frustrating if you’re someone who always goes above and beyond like me. Realizing this early on will make things easier for you 4- Look out for your peace of mind. We often find ourselves dedicating too much time and effort to clients who fail to appreciate the value of our time and expertise. It’s important not to waste energy on those who don’t respect your professional insights. Remember, you aren’t for everyone, and that’s okay. It’s better to allow them to find another realtor who may better suit their needs and expectations. This job keeps challenging me in ways I never expected, but it’s also incredibly fulfilling. To newcomers in the industry, hang in there even through the tough times—it’s worth it 🤍 Realtor, Real estate agent, real estate, Realty One Group, Arizona realtor, home sweet home, moving to phoenix, new agent, Arizona, Chandler, scottsdale ArizonaRealtor, #phoenixRealEstate, #Mesarealestate, #PhoenixRealtor, #ScottsdaleRealtor, #ScottsdaleRealEstate, #Lifestyle, #Arizona, #Phoenix, #Scottsdale, #chandler #RealEstate, #Realtor, #RealtyOneGroup, #ROG, #Firsttimehomebuyer, #Buyerrepresentation #buyeragent #listingagent #homeowner
