I unfortunately live next to someone with 6 border collies that freaking bark incessantly. Had to threaten to call animal control and a lawyer.

I have a Catahoula that did something similar except it was an abandoned house across the street she was missing for 3 days before we found her.

We always kept a big black mutt around as ‘security’. They were trained to bark at strange humans, defend the home, & assist with these kind of things

we have a cattle dog mix and he doesn't bark either, and he taught our Dane and German Shepherd to not bark too

AirTags, I kept them on my Pyrenees cause they would rarely bark but that way I knew where they were.

Haha! This is why we train our dogs with something we like to call the doggie doorbell. If they get stuck they bark to get our attention on command.
