My son is two and had nuts no problem, then like two weeks ago he also ate a pj&j and had the same reaction. So scary but luckily he’s fine now too 🥺

its usually not the first exposure that causes a reaction. Most of the time it takes several exposures to develop a allergy.

Allergies can develop overtime! I didn’t develop my nut allergy until I was roughly 4 or 5

It could also be part of the preservatives in their. Or soy. We just found out my daughter is allergic to soy, we have had two reactions to it.

It’s crazy how allergies develop, my son developed a shellfish allergy this past year and he’s 6! Ate it right up to his first reaction🙃

Same thing happened with my first baby but with eggs. Had them multiple times then almost went into anaphylactic after just a few bites of egg.

yes kenai has an epi-pen for his peanut allergy! i tried so hard to avoid it with allergy introduction and he still has a severe allergy :(

Very similar thing happened to us. Our 14m old now has a confirmed peanut allergy.

Peanuts are legumes, not nuts. So she may have a reaction to other beans but not nuts
