On the morning of his first day at a new school, Kitano Seiichirou politely says goodbye to his parents and steps outside. As he walks down the stairs, he’s greeted by a milk delivery man with a cheerful “Good morning!” Kitano, ever the polite and kind-hearted guy, replies with “Thank you for your hard work.” But as his face comes into view, the delivery man is struck with fear and bolts away. Even the birds on the power lines and a cat lounging nearby scatter in terror at the sight of him. This scene perfectly captures the hilarious contrast between Kitano’s terrifying appearance and his genuinely gentle nature. I added eerie background music—absent from the original—to enhance the surreal atmosphere and emphasize just how misunderstood Kitano really is.
