@sooziethefoodie: I could not wait to show you all the suckling pig I got from Wild Fork ❤️ Pig Roasts have always been a huge part of my life during the summertime- I even chose to have one as my high school graduation party meal! Suckling pigs are really special because they are younger pigs that have only fed on milk. Unlike larger pigs these are the purest form of pork you can have. Suckling pigs have been recorded as an enjoyable meal going all the way back to the 6th century. The prep is a lot easier than I was expecting- I seasoned the inside heavily and left the outer skin alone. I covered the ears and snout with foil so they would not burn. I then slow smoked this pig at 250 degrees for 4 hours. At 3.5 hours I brushed the skin with vinegar to really help it crisp up. The final product was a tender, juicy, melt in your mouth pulled pork unlike anything I have ever tried! The cheeks are always my favorite part of the pig. This would be the perfect meal to serve at your summer BBQs. I had mine with spicy coconut vinegar sauce 🤤 #sucklingpig #pigroast
