I don’t blame daisy….if she said she never loved her husband her husband love would fade and Gatsby would have got what he wanted and stop chasing her (leave)….she did the right thing….Gatsby didn’t love her ,he just wanted to heal himself by using her.

ngl both gatsby and tom are evil 😭 notice how neither of them give daisy a choice? they see daisy as a pawn to control. this really represents the role of women in the early 1920s, the reason nick looks down so much on jordan is because she isn’t subservient, she’s strong and fierce which nick dislikes. keep in mind, nick is an unreliable narrator, so the narrative that “jordan is evil” is flawed because i think she was just a strong woman with opinions and nick disliked it

It wasn't money that won. It was reputation. The movie highlighted the difference between old and new money- how new money wasn't as respected. That was also illustrated as Tom clearly loved his mistress too
