@nguyenfoodstall: ✨ How to make Vietnamese savory sticky rice (xôi mặn) 🍚😋 Disclaimer: still learning how to work the new camera so I apologize for some of the blurry footage 🥹😅 ✨This is mom’s special sticky rice recipe! She has mastered the simplicity of this dish over the years and I was so excited to finally make it myself and share it with all of you. It was SO easy to make and turned out incredibly delicious! I nearly devoured the whole thing in one sitting while filming this 🐷🤤 📝 Notes: - You MUST pan fry and steam the Chinese sausage for 10-15 mins before sautéing it with the shallots and chicken! Otherwise you will be eating raw meat and get a tummy ache 🥲 - Use the oil and fat that the sausage renders to sauté the shallots, chicken, and sausage in very that extra glossy goodness😋 - Cooking glutinous rice can be tricky. People like to soak their rice over night to soften the rice before putting it into the rice cooked. You can absolutely do this but I have a great rice cooker that doesn’t require me to do that so I skipped the soaking process!
