I think the stickers that come up clean and easy would do that on their own without the tape

I just a little cooking oil on hard surfaces and clean it up after.

My hypothesis is that the longer the sticker has sat on the item, it dries up becoming harder to remove. Which means the hairdryer should work 😃

For containers, filling with hot water will melt the sticker glue from the inside. Just don’t get the sticker itself wet!
