wtf. haven't done residential in about 15 years but when you set a tub box, always knock down the outside with a hammer. not wasting a sawzall blade

Isn’t there flex around the drain? We had a similar install and our surround cracked from the weight on top of the empty space around the drain

Neat idea but you need to support the drain of the pan with concrete. Too much flex

Your tub box is backwards. They pull right out. Can reuse them multiple times.

flip the box over and fill it with dirt when it's in place. after the concrete is poured, it pulls right up.
