flip the box over and fill it with dirt when it's in place. after the concrete is poured, it pulls right up.

wtf. haven't done residential in about 15 years but when you set a tub box, always knock down the outside with a hammer. not wasting a sawzall blade

I’ve learned if you heat the tub box w a torch and you can push the pipe right in and the box will seal around it

Isn’t there flex around the drain? We had a similar install and our surround cracked from the weight on top of the empty space around the drain

We just use 2x4 and plywood … take 5 min to make one, and you can always custom make any size. Plus there is always scraps on new sites
