Maple syrup HAS to be refrigerated but I highly recommend once opened, pouring it into an airtight glass bottle and storing it in the frig.

YES you need to refrigerate this type of pure syrup or it will develop a layer of mold.

In Canada 100% only has to be 100% of 10% of the ingredients that is pure. It started with wine and grapes.

My beautiful Costco maple syrup grew mold once, so I refrigerated it after that. Never been a problem since.
