What a bunch of unnecessary steps. Built w assembly lube? Good. Crank without sparkplugs. Zero load, assemblylube does its thing.

just use a assembly lube, then crank the motor with no spark plugs until it got pressure on gauge

did this on my LS build. Hooked up a manual guage and had 25psi from bottle and got oil at all rockers

I just said f it and started it. I built the motor with good assembly lube and filled the oil from the top. car idles with 50psi of oil pressure.
