Are you skipping your stretches? @DFYNE To get your L sit with straight legs parallel to the floor you must stretch! And this means stretching the whole of the posterior chain, from the calves to the lower back. This is obviously not the only thing needed for the L sit but it is one aspect that holds a lot of people back with their progress. A simple stretch for this is a forward fold which can be done seated or standing. Try not to round the upper back too much and think about reaching past your feet. Try to keep the legs straight when folding and don’t push your stretch too far- you should feel a bit uncomfortable but not in pain and try to hold the stretch for 30 seconds. Breathe deeply throughout! Another really great exercise is the RDL which will strengthen the hamstrings in the lengthened position and increase your flexibility. Stretching doesn’t have to complicated! Pick one or two stretches and perform them a few times a week, ideally after you have finished your workout so you are nice and warm. Stick with it as it is a long term process but it will help your skill work 🙌🏼 #calisthenics #flexibility
