🇺🇸 January 23, 2023 — Seattle, Washington. 23-year-old Jaahnavi Kandula, a graduate student from India attending Northeastern University’s Seattle campus, was crossing a marked crosswalk at Dexter Avenue North and Thomas Street when she was struck and killed by a Seattle Police Department patrol vehicle. The patrol car was being driven by Officer Kevin Dave, who was responding to a reported drug overdose call.
