you could buy or make a fiber optics splicer and do it easier.

for every one asking how do you remove the ptfe tube you don't you leave it till the print ends then you pull the tube out when storing your filament

Wieso nicht zwei Halbschalen mit je nem halben Teflonteil -dann kann man das Tool wenigstens wieder entfernen. Zum halbieren halt wieder nen Tool drkn

Just use the tube alone and you can do the same thing😁. That's how i do it

not recommended if you have birds. The PTFE will release a toxin under high heat and flame that will kill them
