@baystatepainassociates: • • • • • • Can you touch your fingers together behind your back? - The Apley’s Scratch Test is a good way to assess your functional internal and external rotation mobility at the shoulders. - Most people are going to be stiffer on their dominant hand side. - If you can’t quite touch your fingers together behind your back it isn’t something you have to or necessarily need to “fix.” Unless you just wanna get better at getting that itch back there you can’t reach.. lol. . With that said, in order to reach your hand up and behind your back more you need good shoulder EXTENSION and INTERNAL ROTATION mobility. - If you decide to try some of the loaded mobility exercises shown here in the reel, start with light weights!! - Don’t force it.
