We just let him chew on the straw till he eventually maybe accidentally sucked and got water a few times then understood he learned in a day or two

We were so lucky. I just handed him the straw cup and he started drinking. It took a little bit for him to control the amount he got but straw>sippy

the straw one. I had a glass of milk with a straw and my 1yo cousin decided it was hers and started drinking it 😂 I was fuming she stole my drink

Just put yogurt or something that’s slightly sweet on the end of the straw, they will learn in minutes.
