This is very true. They always tell everyone, especially if you have chemically treated hair like bleached hair. It's going to do a real heavy number on it. But I have hair to the back of my knees, and I've always gone in without any head protection. The trick to it is to soak your hair sopping. Wet in fresh water prior to getting in.If anyone knows anything about hair and how it works.If your hair is waterlogged, it doesn't absorb more water.So I sop my hair in nice, fresh water.Braid.It up tightly and then go right on in.And i've never had problem

I've been to the Blue lagoon and they tell you constantly not to get your hair wet and use the conditioner before you go in! I'm going to bring a bathing cap!

They absolutely do! I visited Myvatn Nature Baths in northern Iceland and they also said the same thing. Don’t get your hair wet!
