@thevestibulartherapist: ✨Chair Yoga For Vestibular Health✨ Difficulty with traditional yoga due to balance challenges or your vestibular symptoms? Try some of these seated yoga variations. You can move as much or as little as you want through these poses and as slowly as feels comfortable. The “right” way to do it is in a way that feels good for YOU. There are so many benefits of yoga practice: 〰️grounding 〰️habituation/movement desensitization 〰️vagus nerve stimulation 〰️serotonin production 〰️improved posture 〰️improved flexibility 〰️strengthening 〰️circulation/lymphatic flow For seated variations, try sitting at the edge of a chair with feet firmly planted into the ground. Modifications can be made by: 〰️moving faster or slower 〰️closing eyes 〰️feet together or apart 〰️moving in a smaller range Remember to breathe throughout the movement (don’t hold your breath).
