Just make sure to turn off roaming for your domestic plan even if esim is set for cellular data !!

I LOVE airalo. I’ve used it twice; once in the UK/Norway and once in Mexico. A+ experience both times. Really nice to be able to use maps overseas.

I loved Airalo! My one thing I could’ve figure out is why my texts weren’t working with data since you have to uncheck your USA number for app to work

Also- Everytime my family goes to Italy, we just walk into a phone carrier store and buy a sim for like $30 and can use WhatsApp as much as we want!

If you fall into the locked phone bucket and have T mobile you can add international data and calling. Not as cheap as Airalo but was just in Italy

Many T-Mobile plans get 5GB free. If you’re staying more than a week or two buy a local SIM card, they’re much cheaper.

Note you can’t make calls with an eSim. Get an actual SIM card if you can
