The absolute best thing to use is sos pads! Ours on Fort Hood are the same. A pomsis stone works great on the inside as well.

Bar keepers friend is a life saver when cleaning the stove top! We use a tooth brush/scrub daddy and it gets almost all of the old baked on grease off

I prefer cleaning gas. Pulling the top off of the electric is too time consuming
