U wrong bro 😭 -4^2 is 16 unless the parenthesis tell us that its not included …if the question wanted -16 as an answer, the expression we would be given is -(4)^2 so we know to exclude the negative when doing the work. -4^2 is 16…This also explains why we get plus or negative 4 when we take the square root of 16 since both -4 and 4 to the power of 2 gets us positive 16. So only when we are specifically told that the negative is excluded do we get -16
