@science_thingz: 💎🪐 Did you know that it can rain diamonds on other planets? The gas giant planets (Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, and Neptune) all have dense atmospheres where diamonds can form. This occurs when crushing forces within the dense atmospheres come into contact with elemental carbon in the form of graphite or soot. Growing diamonds may fall further into the atmosphere. Diamonds can melt into liquid at severe temperatures and pressures in the lowest regions of Saturn and Jupiter, creating diamond "rain" droplets. Even at very high temperatures, diamonds don't melt at the Earth's surface's 1 atm pressure. They directly transcend to vapor instead. The pressure, however, is almost a million times greater than on Earth's surface deep inside Saturn and Jupiter, and temperatures can rise to about 11,000 °C (21,000 °F).
