When you are focused on a task, a neurotransmitter called acetylcholine is generated. One of its (many) functions is to mark the activated areas of the brain as POTENTIALLY rewiring later. However, the actual rewiring of those neurons happens in states of deep relaxation which is typically the night after you learn new material. In other words, if you study hard you can release a lot of those neurotransmitters, but what good is it if you are not optimizing the second half of the process? Prioritize both parts for better learning. 😊
